25 Dear Mary,
Well, I finally am getting time to write a few lines to you.
Charlie is getting a little better now again but he has been verysick, he was in the hospital for a few days and then he was home aweek when he had an awful hemorrhage and it left him very weak, so heis getting along slowly, he doesn't have any pain and eats good andsleeps well, so he looks good, but can't walk. He had been an awfulcare to me, he has been sick for 6 months now.
It's getting quiet warm down here now don't know, whether we will goback north or not, I don't think Charlie can stand to ride home, hewants to go back and I will miss seeing everybody if I don't go back.
But I think it will just give him a set back again, if we go, so Idon't know what to do.
We would have to go and stay at Mirl's and Mary I wouldn't be veryhappy staying there, you know the children are so noisy and I havearthritis and it is pretty good just now, but once in awhile it actsup and I have awful pain in my knees and shoulders and I can't go upand down stairs. So I don't know what to do, if Charlie will insiston going back, why I will have to put up with it at Mirl's, but Iwon't like it.
Mirl's daughter Virginia is getting married the 26th of this month, she is 19 yrs old. she said, she was going to come down here on herhoneymoon. I hope she does. sure will be glad to see her. Wellexcuse this scribbling mary as am awful tired. I know i am early foryour birthday, but that I would send it on with the letter and hopeyou have a very happy birthday. Love. Hope this finds you both well
